NV Energy Delivers Toys to Sunrise Children's Hospital

Recently, NV Energy partnered with Kids Wish Network's toy distribution center to get toys valued at over $60,000 donated to young patients at Sunrise Children's Hospital. NV Energy and Sunrise Children's Hospital partnered with Kids Wish Network's Holiday of Hope Gift Bank to deliver toys to children at Sunrise Children's Hospital to bring a little cheer during their stay at the hospital.

These wonderful toys, such as trucks, activity books, wagons, and of course teddy bears, not only benefit children coming in for a brief visit, but children who may be spending a longer time due to more complicated injuries or illnesses. There will be enough toys kept on site for future use.

Over forty employee volunteers, along with Pat Shalmy, president, Nevada Power and top executives from Sunrise Children's Hospital, delivered toys to kids receiving treatment.

Going to the hospital can be frightening for children, and a special toy can bring them comfort and joy when they need it the most. Pediatric doctors and nurses all agree that sometimes a smile can be the very best medicine.
